So after reading all the comments I thought I might give the game the benefit of the doubt, but I was terribly wrong with that decision. The controls are just so terrible and hard to control it's not even fun to play. For the first 2-3 minutes I was enjoying myself sliding everywhere but it eventually got really frustrating after noticing that I couldn't control the car whatsoever. There is so much polishing needed for the controls. The drifting needs to be a little bit tighter so you don't drift for nearly as long. Turning is like being on blue ice in a minecraft boat, there is absolutely no control at all, any slight turn is a 15 second drift that is unbearable because you can't get out of the drift manually to continue driving normally. I understand it wasn't supposed to be well polished and was supposed to be somewhat difficult but it's so incredibly hard to control that it goes beyond what I would assume he was going for when releasing it

EDIT: after putting an hour or three into the game I was able to beat all maps on easy and normal mode and working on hard mode. You just have to put some faith into the game and unlock new cars which drive WAY better than the starter one. Once you learn the game you can beat it if you have an hour to spare. Pretty fun game once you get the hang of drift cancelling and all that. Drift cancelling works the best with cars with really good stability like the tofu mobile and the second car you unlock. When turning a corner you basically just tap A or D depending on the angle of the corner and then just press the opposite key until you go straight. Don't hold it for too long otherwise you will spin out of control. Use the NPC's bad AI to your advantage and grapple on to them to knock them off which gives you a MASSIVE head start and it makes turning corners easier because you have a surface to support you. I recommend just playing easy mode until you get the hang of it then go into normal mode to get a new car which really pays off. I also think it's semi-intended to use the car you just unlocked with the new level you also unlocked because it may require certain stats that the car has to pass it in normal.

This ios next to impossible to win against the easy ai. And also, he never said he wanted to make it hard, he just said he wasnt good at making the controls better.

This is exactly the problem with sonic and the secret rings upgrade system. An upgrade system should not make terrible gameplay feel decent. It should make good gameplay feel even better.
If you go race > select track > select car, then back, it goes back to time trial instead, so you then have to go back and switch to race again
But awesome game, it was challenging to learn how to control it, but after doing time trail a bit (no NPC car to collide with) I learnt how to drift and control the car better, so was able to go back and beat the NPC's more easily

i know you usually just make the game and leave it, but there is an overflow of bugs in this one. i'm fine with the fucked up drifting and the stupid AI, it's frustrating but also kind of funny.
The game is really fun, but I would make the drifting more player-controlled? I guess. As the game is now, you just have to turn and the car slips. I would like the function of like normal steering and making the drifting less hardcore. But overall, pretty fun game. 9/10 NGI lol
Terrible. The first level the robot car just rams you and pushes you to the side. Also the drifting is a big problem. You always fly out of control. 1.5/5 game. Would not recommend.

everything is great but the only problem i have with it is the npc's. trying to go into a drift is absolute hell because once that npc catches up to you the npc will just drive into your rear causing you to spin out

I really like this game and would play it every day (I am writing this comment 5 minutes after I downloaded Jelly Drift)! When I fall into the water, it's a tad frustrating, but, it's easy to get back up!
One of the best arcade drift games ive played, despite being all floppy it still manages to be extremely fun. But there is one problem. And thats the DAMN FRICKIN' OPPONENTS!!! Left alone the green 3000gt guy at the desert map is responsible for SEVERAL MURDERS, not even mentioning all the shameles wrecks that DIDNT make me reset. The entire problem of the game is based around the foes, fixing them will lead to the whole game being absolutely briliant. So please, if you're reading this, change the wreckfest drivers to normal drift racers, and the game will be perfect. Sorry for any grammar mistakes, bc im not a native brit/american/ect.

Game is unfairly hard, the drifting is pushed to the extreme, it's impossible to turn without drifting even at low speed.
Worse, the AI isn't capable of drifting and just perfectly does each turn by following a line, it will never go away from that line and if you push it, you'll either end up spinning or it'll just reset to the road instantly, if not both.
Game has a lot of potential and could've been a lot of fun but so far it's just way too frustrating to play it.

Better instructions to download:
Make sure you have 7-Zip installed, if you don't then install it now.
Download the correct version of the game for your pc.
Right click on it then hover over 7-Zip and press extract to "JellyDrift64/" or "JellyDrift32/" (whatever it says).
Delete the zip folder and open the normal folder.
Right click on JellyDrift.exe and press "Create Shortcuts Here".
Drag the shortcut (NOT THE .EXE) onto your desktop.
Rename it "Jelly Drift".
Double left-click on it, it may say that it is a virus but just hit "Read More", and then "Run Anyway".

The drift is shit, when i move a little to the side i drift. It's almost inpossible to play, but if you fix the drift the game would be awesome.
