Yes I had this problem. The reason being is dani isn't an identified developer, so apple blocks him. You need to go into terminal to solve this. Here's what I used to open it:

I have a solution for Mac, that i found in comments
You need to download Mac version from here, and windows version from Steam, after that Steam will recognize Mac version as Windows, and everything will be OK. BUT! You can't play on servers, because Dani haven't uploaded version 1.29 here.
For Linux Users, after installing the game and extracting the .zip folder; make sure Steam(normal linux steam not the one using WINE) is running in the background after that open the installed game folder and before opening the game application go to the properties of the game application and click on the permissions tab and make sure "allow this file to run as a program" is checked and then open the game application normally and you should see the server list with the available online servers in your region and should work pretty smooth. this worked with me figured id tell other people.
You have to install crab game (windows version on mac yes) and then launch the one you installed from here and steam will recognize it as crab game and everything will be fine
Dani needs to update the mac version though because its currently at 1.28 and 1.29 is out

I use the steam version on Linux with proton and it does work perfectly with a different currency than my local one but that is fine.

Click on the apple symbol on the top right of ur screen, and click “About This Mac”, There u can see whether you have an intel or silicon processor.
Did you buy the M1 mac? M1 = silicon Any other one = 64bit

Dani Mac is working perfectly, I dunno linux but just saying that Mac is working multiplayer
Whenever I go to join servers, there isn't any server there. When I got sent a code and pressed join nothing happened.
